1 “Do not worry about the wicked, do not envy those who do wrong. 2 For like grass, they soon fade away, like springtime flowers, they soon wither.” ~ Psalm 37:1-2
I can not stand injustice of any kind, and sometimes no matter where we look, it seems to be all around us. It is hard to figure out sometimes how and why those who have little or no regard for righteousness seem to “have it all”. But – David tells us we should never envy evil people, even though some may be extremely popular or excessively rich. No matter how much they have, it will fade and vanish like grass that withers and dies. However – those of us who follow GOD live differently from the wicked and, in the end, will have treasures in heaven.
What an unbeliever gets here on earth may last a lifetime, but what you get from following GOD lasts forever. Trust in the LORD and wait patiently for HIM to act.
Thank YOU, Father for justice. Thank you that even though those who are evil seem to prevail in this life, we know that in the end they will wither and fade away. Give us courage and endurance to withstand temptations to conform to the ways of this world, just to get ahead. We know LORD, that those of us who follow YOU will have treasures far beyond measure in heaven.
