“For by that one offering He perfected forever all those whom He is making holy.” ~ Hebrews 10:14
We have been made perfect, yet we are being made holy. Through His death and resurrection, Christ, once for all, made His believers perfect in GOD’s sight. At the same time, He is making us holy – progressively cleansed and set apart for His special use – in our daily pilgrimage. We should not be surprised, ashamed, or shocked that we still need to grow. GOD is not finished with us. We can encourage this growth process by deliberately applying Scripture to all areas of our lives, by accepting the discipline and guidance Christ provides, and by giving Him control of our desires and goals.
When we believe in Christ, He makes us completely right with GOD. Our loving relationship leads us to follow Him in willing obedience and service. He is pleased with our service, but we cannot be saved by our good deeds. We must go before Him, ask Him to come into our hearts and make us whole, then we must humble ourselves and ask forgiveness for our sins. Once we take these simple steps, He tells us – “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.” – Hebrews 10:17 – This powerful statement that GOD will remember our sins no more should give us encouragement to continue to live our lives as HE has commanded. Christ forgives completely, so there is no need to confess our past sins repeatedly. As believers, we can be confident that the sins we confess and renounce are forgiven and forgotten.
Thank You Jesus – I am forgiven! Hallelujah! Thank You for giving me the privilege of being a child of the Most High GOD. Thank You that I do not have to continually ask forgiveness for all my past sins. As a believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am confident that the sins I confess are renounced and are forgiven and forgotten.
If you have never asked the Lord Jesus into your heart and life, it is as simple as saying the following prayer.
Lord Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart. Cleanse me and make me whole. Forgive me of my sins. I make You my Lord and Savior.
If you prayed this prayer, find a church that is based on good, sound biblical principles and begin serving and living for your King.
